WP5 – Multiplier Events and Transnational Meetings

Each project partner will prepare one multiplier event in their respective countries/institutions. They will prepare all the information, including a program and other relevant materials regarding the project and products developed and will send them to all potential interested parties to invite them to participate in the event. Each responsible partner will write a press-release for the local, regional, national mass media in their country, of EU relevance in English to international mass media. The plan is that during each multiplier event there will be, at least, 20 local participants: adult educators and learners, representatives of educational centres, cultural organisations, public bodies dealing with adult education and/or culture. The event will consist of presentations delivered by project developers and project coordinators, working sessions focusing on how to use the materials developed and open debates in order for participants to solve any doubts or questions they may have. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the project outputs and, in small discussion groups, they will reflect on the project results and elaborate proposals on how they could be applied in their communities. The host organisation of the event will offer support, advice and guidance to any individual or entity interested in exploiting the project results. Multiplier event will also be a great opportunity for project partners to meet in person, to talk about the project results and outputs but also to share ideas and experiences and a good opportunity for the partners to create synergies with different parties and engage them in their network for future projects.

The main result of this work package will be 4 international meetings during which each project partner will organize a multiplier event. This is going to be an opportunity to share information about the project as well as to present results that we will create during the project cycle. By organizing multiplier events and transnational meetings, the project will ensure that its results are shared with educators, prison administrators, policymakers, and organizations involved in adult education and social rehabilitation.

The project will also achieve strengthened international collaboration through transnational meetings. These meetings will allow partners to evaluate the project’s implementation, discuss further applications of the developed materials, and explore future cooperation opportunities. The discussions will contribute to ensuring that the project has a lasting impact, influencing prison education beyond the initial implementation phase.

Finally, this work package will result in the promotion of project results at the European level, ensuring that the developed course and its methodologies reach relevant educational networks.

All multiplier events are going to be of dissemination nature. During each event, participants will find out about the progress of our project and will be able to get acquainted with the results we will create, namely learning and teaching materials used to educate prisoners, focusing on general skills. Apart from that, there will be a chance to do some networking with external bodies. Also, other prison education institutions will receive the materials and will be able to use them in their own institutions.

In addition to the dissemination events, WP5 includes a series of transnational meetings aimed at ensuring effective coordination, evaluation, and sustainability of the project. These meetings will bring together project partners to review the progress, discuss challenges, and refine strategies for the final implementation phase. The meetings will focus on sharing insights from the piloting phase, addressing any remaining gaps in the developed materials, and planning for the long-term use of the course in prison education systems.

Some presentations will be organized as part of the multiplier events, providing participants with an opportunity to engage with the materials and explore how they can be adapted to different prison education contexts. These sessions will allow educators and stakeholders to share their experiences, offer feedback, and discuss strategies for integrating the developed resources into existing prison education programmes.
